Most siblings are excited when they become an aunt or uncle. It was no different for me when my brother, Craig, adopted Sparkie. In the beginning Sparkalicious was a perfectly healthy Pomeranian; but in the few years Craig has had him he has developed special needs. He has seizures and a luxating patella, more commonly known as a trick knee.
I talk often of how dogs can alter people's lives and I have to admit there has been a noticeable difference in my brother since becoming a dog dad. Sparkie has shown Craig unconditional love. Having this wee cutie love and depend on him has helped Craig grow. Today he is a happier, more content person, and I am certain Sparkie has been the key to much of this transformation.
