When Sarah witnessed her son playing with a family member's dog she knew it was time to get him a buddy of his own. Sarah's husband, Dave, knew exactly what kind of dog he wanted. When Dave was younger he volunteered at a shelter and adopted a Pit Bull. The bond they shared outmatched any other, and he wished his son the same experience.
Sarah and Dave decided to visit a local breeder who breeds Pit Bull mixes, hoping the mix would help avoid health issues that are associated with full breed dogs. Off they went with their toddler boy and baby girl to pick out the family puppy. Dave was drawn to a handsome blue and white male that was mellower than his litter mates. Both agreed he would be a good family fit; but the dog was still too young to go home with them.
